First responders in Yonkers are launching “Operation Rescue Main Street."
All 320 active Yonkers firefighters and 130 fire officers have agreed to participate.
Everyone will each buy a $100 gift card from any Yonkers business.
In a few weeks, a "Secret Santa" will be held and each person who participated will receive a gift card back!
The Yonkers Fire Department says it looks forward to seeing other departments across the country do so in their own cities and towns as well.
