A massive fire damaged a Nanuet deli and other businesses on Tuesday.

Fire officials say thick black smoke was billowing into the air on when they arrived on the scene on Route 59.

They say the blaze began in the Thruway Deli, but the adjacent stores were also damaged.

The deli was closed, and no one was inside.

One firefighter suffered a minor injury.
