The Empire City Casino will close its doors for the next 14 days due to coronavirus related concerns.

The casino closed at 6 a.m. Saturday.

This comes as the coronavirus continues to extend its reach through communities across the Hudson Valley.

Health officials have been urging the public to practice social distancing and frequent hand and respiratory hygiene.

A statement on the Empire City Casino's website says they hope to open back up after 14 days.
