Westchester Day School student, parent of Somers elementary school student test positive for coronavirus
A student from the Westchester Day School and a parent of a Somers elementary school student have tested positive for the coronavirus.
News of the Westchester Day School student was announced in a letter on the Village of Mamaroneck's website. In the post, village officials say they learned of the case yesterday.
The Mamaroneck school will now be closed until March 17, according to the village. 
In Somers, the superintendent of schools sent a letter to families saying the parent of a Primrose Elementary School student tested positive.
The letter says other family members, including the Somers student, have tested negative for the coronavirus and are currently under quarantine. The parent had not visited the school recently, the letter says.
Both of Somers' school campuses will be closed until Tuesday, March 10.
