Orange County: Focus shifting from monitoring coronavirus to containing it
Orange County officials said Friday that they are shifting the focus of their coronavirus efforts from monitoring to containing.
Officials gathered to discuss plans Friday at the Emergency Services Center in Goshen at a roundtable organized by Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney.
"This is serious, but not one that should cause anyone to panic," said Maloney.
"We should not panic. I do believe it's going to get worse before it gets better, but the way to confront that is to be prepared,” said Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus.
As of Friday evening, there were no confirmed cases in Orange or Dutchess counties.
