Veteran county legislator faints at news conference

Legislator Alfreda Williams, 82, fainted at a news conference hosted by County Executive George Latimer today.
Williams was in attendance as Latimer discussed the banning of exotic animals when she unexpectedly fell to the floor.
EMTs attended to her upon arrival. She was alert as she was transported to a hospital.
News 12 is told Williams was released from the hospital this afternoon and is resting at home.
