Residents in Spring Valley say they’re on high alert after two stabbings happened just two days apart in the area this week.
Sandra Wilson, a 52-year-old security guard, was fatally stabbed at Finkelstein Memorial Library Tuesday. Police say on Thursday, a man was stabbed at a home on Ridge Avenue.
Residents tell News 12 that they are concerned for the safety of their families.
"Well, I've become afraid for children and really all kids,” says one resident. “Supposedly this is a safe area, but recently things have happened where I just don't know."
Police have arrested 25-year old Blanchard Glaudin in connection to the library stabbing, but are still looking for the person responsible for the stabbing on Ridge Avenue.
Authorities are urging the public to call them if they have any knowledge about the stabbing at 845-356-7400.
