Fire destroys Mahopac Falls house

Posted: Updated:

Flames destroyed a house in Mahopac Falls overnight.

Fire officials say the blaze broke out just before 1 a.m. today at 230 Oak Road West.

When crews arrived, they found the house fully engulfed and all of the home’s occupants were outside. They were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Chief of Department Jeff Boyle says firefighters were able to get the fire under control quickly because the street has many hydrants.

The cause of fire has not been determined.
