A motorcyclist is in critical condition after an accident in Newburgh, police say.

They say the driver was flown to Westchester Medical Center with serious head injuries after crashing into a Jeep SUV on Broadway around noon yesterday.

Witnesses say the SUV was backing out of a parking space when the motorcycle hit the vehicle at full speed. "The cop had him in the resting position and you could see a lot of blood," says Ceasar Grados, of Newburgh.

Police have not released the motorcyclist's name.

They say the driver of the SUV refused medical attention at the scene.
