Court hands down ruling in land dispute between Woodbury's town and village

A court ruling in Orange has been handed down in hopes of mending fences between two neighboring municipalities.
The lawsuit, filed by the town of Woodbury against its village, seeks the return of millions of dollars in property given by the old administration, in exchange for a lesser-valued parcel of land.
The ruling found that the 2017 deal was done improperly and that there is ground to sue the village if the land is not returned.
Town officials say they're happy with the outcome and are hopeful the dispute can be resolved outside of court.
