A teenage boy hopes to become a businessman in the future with a startup vending machine business.
Connor Muehlbaur, of Hopewell Junction, isn't your typical 13-year-old. The middle-schooler operates a business through which he purchases and distributes vending machines.
"I know I want to be like a businessman when I grow up, so I thought this would be perfect practice," says Connor.
A dozen businesses across Dutchess County are supporting his ambition by allowing his machines in their stores.
Hudson Valley Gyro Grill & Market owner Paul Kastanis only had positive things to share about the teenage entrepreneur, saying in part, "He's a great young kid and you know he's got a very bright future, as long as he sticks to the game plan.”
News 12 is told he’s learning how to become his own boss while focusing on skills like managing time, loans and inventory. He already has $100 saved and hopes to have machines in multiple stores across the country.
