Westchester launches new campaign to boost tourism

Westchester County Executive George Latimer is launching a new campaign to boost tourism.
Officials just announced they are rolling out a new campaign to shed light on what the county has to offer new visitors.
They are calling the campaign "Beyond."
At a press conference Tuesday, county officials said they hope a video and a series of scenic shots that will be send out within a 250-mile radius, attracts new tourists to the area.
They said visitor spending grew 5% in 2018, ranking Westchester third in visitor spending across the state, behind New York City and Long Island. They hope to see that number grow even more.
Another area they would like to focus on is increasing overnight stays. They find many visitors make impulsive decisions to come to Westchester just for a day.
