Caught on camera: Man fires gun at 29-year-old walking down Longwood street

Police are working to track down the person behind a shooting in Longwood Saturday.
A security camera captured the man police say they are looking to question near Fox Street and East 163 Street around 9 p.m.
The man is seen reaching for something near the passenger’s side door and moments later run toward the back of his maroon sedan. That is when police say he fired his gun.
News 12 is told the shooter fired his gun at a 29-year-old man, hitting him in the ankle as he walked on the sidewalk before running into the driver’s seat and taking off.
Police say it appears someone else was inside the car, in the passenger’s seat at the time of the shooting.
A $2,500 reward is being offered for tips that lead to an arrest and indictment.
The victim is recovering after being treated at the hospital.
Police do not yet know if the victim and suspect had a connection or if the victim was an innocent bystander.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
