Posted: Updated:

Flames heavily damaged a home in White Plains on Thursday.

Fire officials say the blaze broke out on Eastdale Road around 7 p.m.

When crews arrived on scene, there were heavy flames coming out of the first and second floors, as well as the front, back, and left side of the home. Five companies and about 26 firefighters were able to control the fire by 8:30 p.m.

White Plains Fire Chief Richard Lyman says no one was home at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries.

Lyman says the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
