Officials say fire broke out at the building on East 3rd Street just after 2 p.m.

A fire caused the evacuation of a four-story apartment building in Mount Vernon on Thursday.
Officials say fire broke out at the building on East 3rd Street just after 2 p.m.
Crews were able to contain the flames to just one apartment.
Other residents have been allowed to return to their homes.
No one was injured.  The cause of the fire has not been released yet.
