Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers gets influx of last-minute holiday shoppers

Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers was bustling with last-minute shoppers on the day before Christmas.
Some people blamed Thanksgiving being later than usual this year for the influx.
"Thanksgiving was so late this year, everybody didn't feel the holidays coming so soon,” said shopper Eli Almeida. “…I've been here since like 7 a.m. and there's people everywhere.”
A ton of stores had last minute sales and the mall offered free parking.
News 12 is told Cross County Shopping Center closed at 6 p.m., but will reopen at 8 a.m. on Dec. 26.
