Sports Rush Preview: Boys Basketball get underway

With former NBA great Isaiah Thomas in attendance Archbishop Stepinac took on Monsignor Scanlan in White Plains this weekend

Duke commit A.J. Griffin and North Carolina commit R.J. Davis are going to be a force for Archbishop Stepinac this season. Griffin had 23 points and 10 rebounds while Davis led all scorers with 28 as the Crusaders won its opener 81-69.

Stepinac is the 23rd ranked team in the country according to USA Today.

In other action, the White Plain’s Tigers took on Peekskill.

Senior Quion Burns had 25 first half points enroot to 33 for the game as the Tigers beat the Red Devils 82-71.
