Dozens of Westchester County senior citizens honored at Tarrytown luncheon

More than 70 elderly county residents were inducted into the Westchester Senior Hall of Fame in Tarrytown on Friday.
The inductees were honored for their achievements and services to their neighborhoods at the Westchester Marriott.
"It's so significant because of what we do for our community," said Jean Savenllo of Eastchester. "We learn all about the people that we take care of and the stories they have to share."
The Senior Hall of Fame luncheon started in 1983. It has inducted more than 1,000 senior citizens since then.
