The issue that caused a lockdown at Arlington High School in Dutchess County Tuesday was a false alarm, according to an aide for the LaGrange town supervisor who was in touch with the Dutchess County Sheriff's office.
The lockdown was triggered when someone hit the school's panic button, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
The lockdown was lifted after a police investigation. The school's website posted the following message:
