The fourth annual Tommy's Turkey Bowl Football Tournament kicked off Saturday at Clarkstown South High School.
More than 400 people came out to support 26-year-old Tommy McGuire.
The former Clarkstown South High School quarterback was paralyzed in a swimming pool accident in 2016. Since then, he has gained some motion back in his arms.
McGuire has been able to stand up for about an hour, thanks to mobility equipment, which this year's fundraising tournament will help purchase.
Donations are accepted year-round. For more information, click here.
