Police: Fox bites 3 people before being euthanized

Police in Glen Ridge say a red fox went after at least five people, biting three of them, before being euthanized by officers.
According to police, the people were bitten back on Nov. 15 around 9:15 a.m. on Woodland Avenue, near the train station.
Officers located the animal around 11:35 a.m. on the NJ Transit railroad tracks near Toney’s Brook.
As officers were tracking the animal, it turned and attempted to attack one of the officers. The animal was subsequently euthanized.
The animal was taken for rabies testing by the New Jersey State Fish, Game, and Wildlife Commission.
