Storms producing high winds expected in the Hudson Valley overnight

Posted: Updated:

Thunderstorms are expected to hit the Hudson Valley through early Friday morning, according to News 12 meteorologists.

Light rain is expected at times, but a storm could bring some heavy rain before the sun rises Friday.

The system is expected to bring winds of up to 30 mph or more. A wind advisory is in effect in southern Westchester County through 6 a.m. Friday.

By Friday morning, the rain will pass, but the winds should remain. Temperatures will be cool, with highs in the low- to mid-50s.
