A military official and an actor are remembering a cadet who was found dead Tuesday night.

Cadet Kade Kurita had been missing since Oct. 18, along with his M4 rifle. The U.S. Military Academy at West Point had previously said he may have been a danger to himself.

Lt. Gen. Darryl A. Williams released a statement saying, "Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness." He went on to say, "My guidance to our staff, faculty and coaches remains the same -- if a cadet or colleague asks for help, your day stops and focus shifts to support them."

Actor Stephen Lang also remembered Kurita's passion of film.

"I am so sorry to learn the tragic news concerning Kade Kurita," Lang said. "My heart goes out to his family and friends, and to the entire Corps at USMA."
