Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh is celebrating its 20th anniversary in a big way.
The house keys to the 98th, 99th and 100th Habitat homes have been handed over to hardworking, deserving families in the area.
And those three homes are just a part of an entire block of seven homes in Newburgh that Habitat Newburgh is currently transforming, from vacant, boarded up homes to beautiful places to live for locals.
"One-hundred is a nice round number, and 20 is a nice round number but it goes a lot deeper than that,” says Matt Arbolino, of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh. “I think it's just a symbol in this community that we're not going anywhere."
Abolino went on to encourage families to put in an application. He says many people don’t realize that they may be able to qualify to be a habitat homeowner.
