Posted: Updated:

A vehicle overturned on the Taconic Parkway overnight, temporarily trapping a person inside.

It happened in the northbound lanes at the entrance to FDR Park.

Video from the scene shows the vehicle on its side. Officials say one person was trapped in the car.

Crews were able to remove the person through the car's front window. Officials say that occupant was alive and conscious. Their identity wasn't released.

The car was turned over to state police. It's unclear what caused the crash.

Yorktown Heights fire crews say they were swarmed by a wasps' nest while clearing the scene.
