A 78-year-old cobbler was recognized Tuesday for his four decades of service to the Tuckahoe community.
Frank Pagnotta, 78, has devoted his life to lovingly breathing new life into shoes, handbags and even luggage at Crestwood Shoe Repair. Pagnotta, an Italian immigrant, came to the U.S. in 1957. He picked up the cobbler trade back in Calabria, Italy as a boy.
"I love it, every minute," says Pagnotta.
Sen. Shelly Mayer presented Pagnotta with a special proclamation for his service.
Pagnotta says after all these years he has no plans to slow down.
