Taylor Swift calls Yonkers fan battling cystic fibrosis

A Taylor Swift fan who has cystic fibrosis had her dream come true – talking with Taylor Swift herself.
Annie McMahon, of Yonkers, was having a tough day at the hospital when her friends decided to come by and cheer her up with a song.
They recorded and sang a cover of Swift’s popular “You Belong With Me,” and the post went viral on social media, reaching Swift herself.
Once Swift saw the video, she reached out and called McMahon personally over the weekend. They talked for almost 20 minutes.
“I always thought I could never talk to a celebrity before,” McMahon said. “But she was just so cool. I could talk to her for hours.”
A number of other celebrities reached out as well, including Steve Carell, a favorite of Annie’s, and singers Meghan Trainor, Rachel Platten and Bebe Rexha.
But Taylor’s initial act of kindness is what she’ll remember for the rest of her life.
