Formerly incarcerated fathers honored on Father's Day

The new lives of formally incarcerated fathers were honored at Mount Ararat Baptist Church on Father’s Day.
Pastor Carter of the Baptist church says the fathers were celebrated for using their prison time as a stepping stone to become productive citizens. He says some of these fathers have learned new skills, became mentors and even started charities.
Mitchell Randolph, one of these fathers, says his release from prison in 2011 allowed him to leave his negative situation and embark on a new life.

The ceremony also allowed the fathers to be examples for young men facing similar circumstances that success can be accomplished despite serving time in prison.
