Target says store registers are back online after glitch

Target says registers in its stores are back up and running today following some major checkout troubles across the country, including in New York.
The retailer suffered a technical glitch Saturday afternoon. It brought sales to a stop at stores nationwide.
The outage kept cashiers from scanning merchandise and processing transactions. Self-checkout registers also weren't working at times, causing massive lines in some stores.
It led to lost revenue and long lines for the retailer over the Father's Day weekend.
Some stores temporarily closed because of the issue.
Target says its registers were back online by around 6 p.m. Saturday. The store says it was not a data breach and no customer information was compromised.
