Police say a Pleasant Valley woman was struck and killed on state Route 82 Thursday night.

They say Hope McLucas, 54, was parked southbound on Route 82 near South Road in the center of her lane with her flashers on.

Officials believe McLucas was attending to raccoons on or near the road when she was struck.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say they're still investigating and no criminal charges have been filed.
