Police: Scammer targets Rye Brook resident with fake car rental letter

Police say a Rye Brook resident received a fake letter about a Hertz car rental.

The letter says the victim owes the car rental company money for a traffic ticket he received in Spain.

The man told police he never rented from Hertz or visited Spain.
