Fans and golfers arrive early for round 1 of PGA Championship

FARMINGDALE - Fans and golfers arrived early Thursday for round 1 of the PGA Championship at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale.
Golfers hit the practice greens ahead of teeing off for round 1, including Tiger Woods.
Woods' fans were out in full force, hoping to catch a glimpse of him, as well as other big name golfers.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the tournament is going to be a big boost to Long Island's economy.
"We expect over 200,000 spectators, 1,100 jobs created around this event, an estimated $120 million impact, so not only is it a great sport and history and a great event it's also good business for Long Island," says Cuomo.
Cuomo also says the state did $3 million worth of upgrades to the Bethpage Black's clubhouse, course, and walkways.
