The Department of Environmental Conservation safely captured a bear in Monsey on Wednesday.
Cellphone video shows the 170-pound black bear being tranquilized from a tree on Blauvelt Road.
After the bear was tranquilized, the DEC crew tried to catch it with a net but missed.
Ramapo police have confirmed that the bear was safely relocated to the woods.
Authorities believe it is the same bear seen earlier this week in backyards in Montebello.
