2 families displaced after fire in Yonkers

At least two families have been displaced after a fire broke out at a Yonkers apartment building.
Officials say they got a call just before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday to a six-family apartment building on Beech Street.
Nine fire companies and 40 firefighters responded to the scene.
Fire officials say it took about 30 minutes to bring the flames under control. They say most of the fire was contained to a first-floor apartment, but an apartment on the second floor was also affected. The building also suffered heavy smoke damage.
The building was evacuated safely, and no injuries have been reported.
Investigators are working to determine what sparked the fire.
