Calling all animal lovers, the SPCA of Westchester is getting ready for one of its biggest fundraisers, and you're invited!
Saturday's Dog Walk and Pet Fair will feature Benjen, a three-legged lab mix who was rescued a few months ago from an illegal dog meat market in Thailand. “He's now safe and loving life at the SPCA and searching for his forever home. "He's great with everyone so he'll be our chair dog and lead the walk and he's a perfect example of how resilient animals are which is why he was chosen and we're hoping tomorrow he'll meet his new family." Lisa Bonanno, SPCA of Westchester.
If you'd like to meet, or maybe adopt, Benjen or any of the other furry friends, you can head to the Franklin D Roosevelt State Park in Yorktown Heights tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine.
News 12’s Rebecca Solomon will help kick off the event.
