United Way opens disaster relief fund for fire victims

A week after the devastating fire in Rockland County, a community is coming together to help the dozens of victims.
The United Way of Rockland announced today that it is opening its disaster relief fund for the victims and inviting the public to donate.
Sixteen apartments were destroyed last week when a blaze ripped through the Mountainview Condo Complex in Valley Cottage.
Several people were injured.
While officials say they still don't have a cause of the fire, they say it could take a while for the residents to rebuild their lives.
People can donate on the United Way of Rockland's website, and officials say 100 percent of the money will go toward the victims.
