As Easter approaches, a rescue group is urging parents not to get ducklings or bunnies for their kids.

Experts say the animals are cute and cuddly when they are little.

But they say, in many cases, the animals are abandoned when they get bigger. "These animals are not equipped to survive in the elements, they have tiny wings and big bodies, they don’t fly, they don't migrate and they're just literally sitting ducks out there," says John Di Leonardo, of Long Island Orchestrating for Nature.

Di Leonardo says that abandoning domesticated ducks into the wild is a crime.
