The Westchester organization created to help girls become strong, smart and bold women is taking a unique fundraising approach this year.

Girls Inc. will feature its own version of 'Ted Talks' at its upcoming gala next week.

Organizers say the speakers are high school students of all ages and different backgrounds who had to navigate real-life challenges in order to achieve academic excellence.

Girls Inc. was created in 2007, and they provide support for girls ages 9 to 18 years old.
