Children in White Plains are helping troops overseas feel loved and appreciated in time for Valentine's Day.
Students at Church Street Elementary School made hundreds of Valentine's Day cards.
State Assemblyman David Buchwald is collecting the cards that will be shipped around the world to active military personnel.
Veterans also shared what their experiences were like while fighting for the nation’s freedom – it’s all part of Valentines for Veterans.
"We should start supporting them too. Not just giving cards to our friends and family, but to them too, because they work for us and they help us,’ says student Mila Tomlin.
More than 4,000 valentines have been signed, sealed and delivered so far this year.
