Katonah-Lewisboro School District switches to wind-powered electricity

The Katonah-Lewisboro School District announced it will be using electricity powered by wind turbines in Texas starting Friday.

The district's assistant superintendent says the change will reduce its overall greenhouse gas inventory by 13 percent.

The district anticipates that the use of wind power will create a "real-life teachable moment" for students in science and math classes.
