KINGSTON -

A Kingston man has been sentenced to nine years in state prison on drug charges.

Officials say Michael Rodriguez was arrested back in April for having more than 4 ounces of heroin on him.

The 36-year-old also had prior felony criminal possession convictions from 2003 and 2004, along with a grand larceny conviction from 2014.

Rodriguez's arrest was part of an urgent task force arrest.
