MONROE -

An ultra-orthodox Yeshiva in Monroe that was accused of failing to teach basic subjects has now reportedly changed its curriculum after a News12 report earlier this month.

As of Monday, the Yeshiva Sheri Torah is reportedly teaching secular studies such as math and English for 50 minutes a day.

The news comes from a student's father who first came forward with allegations.

Calls to Yeshiva Sheri Torah and the Monroe-Woodbury School District, which is responsible for ensuring the standards are being met, were not returned.
