Norwalk car wash keeps busy despite frigid temps

While many businesses were closed Monday, some employees were forced to earn their pay in extremely low temperatures.
Not all car washes in southwestern Connecticut were open, but Russell Speeder's in Norwalk was ready for business. Employees say Monday was a busy day for them, as customers tried to wash sand, salt and snow off of their vehicles.
Workers were stocked up with hand warmers, socks and extra layers of clothes to make it through the day. The car wash also had three heaters going and shifted employees between indoors and outdoors to keep warm.
