Dozens of rental buildings in Yonkers have been designated as slumlord properties.

Cassandra Marrerro lives in a multifamily home at 109 Beech St. with her two young children. Her home is one of dozens named on a 186-page list of slumlord-owned properties.

"It's not safe to live in this building," says Marrerro.

News 12 was able to walk right into the downtown rental property with no problem since there are no locks on the outside doors.

Another slumlord building listed is at 1100 Warburton Ave. One neighbor says it's like living in a ghetto.
