Rain might have soaked the New Year's Eve celebration in White Plains but it couldn’t dampen the spirit of many of the revelers.
Live music and entertainment was capped off by fireworks, confetti and the ball drop from a 235-foot crane at Main and Court streets.
The eight-foot diameter ball looked spectacular even in the rain with its 10,000 tiny LED lights.
The annual ball drop in brought a smaller crowd to sendoff 2018, but many said they were excited for 2019 to get some resolutions underway. “My goal is to stay healthy, stay alive," says Darrel Brown, Jr., of Greenburgh. "Save money, drink less, have fun, be responsible," says Jayvon Ingram, of the Bronx. "Be happy, be cheerful, make the best of every day," vows Douglas Bera, of Poughkeepsie.
