Strong winds knock out power to hundreds across region

Strong winds are causing power problems across the Hudson Valley today.
Orange & Rockland Utilities is reporting about 850 customers without power in Rockland County, while another 500 have no power in Orange County.
Gusts up to 40 mph are knocking down branches, trees, and power lines.
News 12 meteorologists say the winds are making it feel like 20 degrees.  They expect the wind to gradually subside during the evening.
Wednesday is forecasted to be mostly sunny and not nearly as harsh with lighter winds.  Highs are expected to around 42 degrees.
Crews expect to have the power restored by later this afternoon.
