Several families in Yonkers are back in their apartments this morning after being forced onto the streets nearly two weeks ago.
Twenty families were told they had to leave their building on New Main Street after their boiler broke.
The city was forced to condemn dozens of apartments, leaving many with no place to go.
Local non-profits quickly stepped up to help. One anonymous donor gave nearly $10,000 which was divided between the displaced families.
