Driver, train passengers OK after train clips car in Pearl River

PEARL RIVER -

A driver is expected to be OK after their car was clipped by a train in Pearl River.

Rockland County officials say the car was on the tracks as the train approached this morning and became stuck when the train gates went down. They say that is when the train clipped the car.

The driver and those on the train were not hurt.

New Jersey Transit service was suspended between Pearl River and Montvale, New Jersey. It has since resumed.
