Just one day after Thanksgiving, the Westchester Parks Foundation kicked into full holiday gear with its annual Winter Wonderland tree lighting celebration Friday evening.
Special guest 7-year-old Liam Brady, of Yorktown, helped light the tree as a special honor for the boy and his family after undergoing a successful kidney transplant back in August.
The attraction features six new rides, a magic show, LED light show and Santa experience.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Westchester Parks Foundation and county parks, trails and open spaces.
Westchester's Winter Wonderland runs through Monday, Dec. 31.
