President Trump has not met with Christie about AG position

President Donald Trump says that he has not spoken with Chris Christie about the open attorney general position.
CNN reported Thursday that Christie was possibly being considered to replace former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who resigned earlier this week at the request of the president.
Trump spoke with reporters Friday morning.
"We're looking at other people. We did not see Chris Christie yesterday. I heard he was in the White House. He's a friend of mine and he's a good man,” the president said. “When he got out of the presidential races, you know, the next day he supported me."
Christie was at the White House Thursday for a previously scheduled meeting about criminal justice issues with Jared Kushner.
Following Sessions’ resignation, Trump named Department of Justice Chief of Staff Matt Whitaker as acting-attorney general.
Trump says that there's no rush to choose a permanent replacement for Sessions.
